Co-Curator Diana Loren will lead a talk in the newly opened exhibition, All the World Is Here: Harvard’s Peabody Museum and the Invention of American Anthropology. In a beautifully restored gallery, see an astonishing array of over 600 objects from Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Together they trace the early history of the museum’s collections and the birth of American anthropology. Visitors will enter the world of a late 19th-century museum and be transported into the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition where Frederic Putnam, the second Peabody Museum director, presented the museum’s anthropological vision and collections to a wider world.

Space is limited. Advance registration required. Register on the Peabody Museum's website.

Regular museum admission rates apply.
