In Colombia, Mayerly Avendano—Giant Armadillo (in Spanish)

My name is Mayerly Avendano and I am 19 years old. I chose the giant armadillo because it is the one that most connects with my family, mainly with my dad because my dad used to hunt them and he still does, to eat it. He used to give us the blood of the armadillo and said that women had to drink the male's blood, and that men the female's blood. He also made keychains with the armadillo's claws and tails. A curious fact is that they are vulnerable to extinction and in Colombia where my father hunts them, there are no laws or regulations prohibiting them from being hunted and they also have 80 to 100 teeth unlike other mammals.
