ArtsThursdays: Puzzle Party

In-Person Event

Location: Harvard Museum of Natural History, 26 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138

Join us for a free night of puzzling adventures at the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture designed with our friends from FableVision Studios and Green Door Labs

For one night only, the Harvard Museum of Natural History is (playfully!) offering an exclusive certificate in CRYPTOzoology. Sea monsters, unicorns, sasquatches—creatures long dismissed as “pseudoscience”—will finally be studied with academic rigor… or will they? Be among the first to “apply” for this prestigious new program by tackling a series of playful, museum-based puzzles that will test your powers of deduction and close looking. Along the way you’ll craft a short application “essay” to prove you’ve got what it takes to be a certified cryptozoologist. Our Admission Counselors—also known as Game Managers—will be on hand throughout the evening to guide you, answer questions, and keep the adventure on track.

The puzzle activity is recommended for adults ages 18+ and is best enjoyed in groups of 2–5. Most groups will take about 60–90 minutes to complete the experience.

Not in a puzzle-solving mood? No problem—there’s still plenty to enjoy!

Guests are also welcome to explore the museum galleries at their own pace, purchase and enjoy a selection of beverages (valid government ID required for alcoholic drinks), and enter a free raffle for a chance to win museum gifts and an HMSC membership.

Free and open to the public.

Let us know you are coming! RSVPs are encouraged, but walk-in visitors are always welcome.

Free event parking at the 52 Oxford Street Garage, 4:30–9:30 pm.
